Why people bet on sports?

Well, it is in fact quite an interesting question. And maybe people usually do not think about it that much. When thinking about it you might actually find some funny reasons for that. But before you read on I would kindly ask you to quickly reflect on this yourself. There is this one thing to be made sure of when doing so: refer this question to yourself. Any: be as honest to yourself as can be. After you have done so you may ask that same question referring to other people: do you think they come to the same conclusion as you did? Do you figure they had been as honest as you had been? Do you reckon they they have a similar history on it as you do?

The simplest of all answers are these, and they become pretty obvious, too: usually you always had been doing this sports yourself or had always been watching it. Also a combination of these to possible. You have executed it AND you observed it, you follow it. One consequence of this would be: you know your sports. As soon as you are certain about that, you might guess instantly: why not bet on it if I know it so well? Obviously this goes pretty well with the just mentioned part: you CAN bet on it — what you definitely are going to find out one day. And what betting means is easy to get tempted by: you can win money.

Now most likely it is where we all come from: we know the sports we bet on and we can win money. So why not just start doing it? Why and how could this go wrong?

People that are winning in the first place are usually in some more danger of getting hooked. Anyone winning money when he first tries will never forget about this feeling. He wants to have this back, best would be to have it repeatedly. They will surely do so if they keep going. But it might turn out that they are not able to get it often enough to cover the longer spells of not getting it. This means: they lose more than they win, although they win at times.

People that are losing in the first place might either give up instantly or try again, but they usually will be a lot more careful about it. Of course this is a matter of how long it takes to become a good hit that still causes that nice feeling of winning, This may still get them hooked at some point, but still they might be in less danger.

But we do not want to talk about this danger here, which may be referred to elsewhere. We rather just were trying to find out why people start betting and what makes them trying on. It is the chance of winning money combined with the self-contested expertise. But it still turns out not to be sufficient to make them long-term winners?! With the assistance of betty you may pretty well be able to do so. You need to be ready to learn a bit — no one ever said it was going to be easy — but you will definitely improve your results if you get going.

There is one more reason why people might start betting or persistently do so: it may not always be a matter of enjoying it and also not kind of desperation or whatever to recover previous losses. It may in fact in the case of the game of football be this reason: the game is actually pretty boring. No one dares to say so but you usually wait for hours for this one goal to happen — and usually it is against your side, of course. Or is it? But at least one thing for certain: as soon as you start betting you find even any boring game kind of exciting.
